We are privileged to be joined by respected Elders and esteemed members of the Taungurung Community, who graciously invite us to partake in this centuries-old traditional practice deeply rooted in the wisdom and spirituality of the oldest living culture in the world. Through this immersive experience, participants will forge a profound connection with the land, pay homage to our ancestors, and delve into the captivating stories and traditions of the Indigenous peoples.

This experience serves as a poignant reminder of the enduring significance of Indigenous cultures and offers a unique opportunity for all attendees to deepen their understanding, respect, and appreciation for the profound wisdom and heritage that enriches our shared existence.

Eddie FitzPatrick is an English-Australian songwriter, storyteller and facilitator who
lives and loves on Wurundjeri Country, in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. Growing up
in the English countryside, she sung before she could talk, singing occupying her
childhood leading her to perform on stages including Buckingham Palace in her early
years.

Now, returning to the voice as a facilitator and songwriter, she takes listeners on
deep dives through all facts of the human and non-human experience, writing songs
rippled with a deep authenticity. Her influences include poetry, nature, the historical
practises of the bard and the delicate arts of gathering and ritual.
Often compared to singers such as Joni Mitchell, Gillian Welch and Jeff Buckley her
shows weave story and song into collective moments of catharsis. Her debut E.P is
set to be released in early 2025.

The organisation centres around our live events and has become Melbourne’s biggest Woman’s Spoken Word event and one of the most established Spoken Word events in the city. It is hosted and run by Fleassy Malay and Brigid Morgan. A place for Passionate, Powerful, Vulnerable and Honest performance; it stands aside from, most Spoken Word events in its depth and authenticity.
